#DoveFaceTest-- Dove Guessing Game with my friend! - A day of adventure and re-bonding with my friends

"When you think of Memories you have made with Friends...
Those memories become Treasures"

I believe in the above statement and have many sweet memories I cherish of the days spent with my friends. :)

I still remember those days of playing Mario with my buddies and competing to see who cleared the most  levels! The days spent discussing new video games out in the market or the saving schedules we made to save enough money so that we could buy our favorite comics. :)

With time, things we talk about may have changed but I am so fortunate to have strong bonds of friendship with my buddies who are still the nagging, teasing, complaining and easy going bunch. My parents have also come into the category of friends and I am able to share with them things that I would share only with a friend. Ever since relocating to another city due to my job, I had not met my friends and was planning on a holiday to come home and spend quality time with my family and my pals.

iOS7 : All you need to know about Apple's newest iteration of iOS

John Ive’s first iOS is simple, elegant and as everyone said “flat”.

It is completely over-hauled and there is nothing left of the old iOS. As John Ive himself said and I quote
The interface is purposely unobtrusive. Conspicuous ornamentation has been stripped away. Unnecessary bars and buttons have been removed. And in taking away design elements that don’t add value, suddenly there’s greater focus on what matters most: your content.

Injustice : Gods Among Us PS3 Review

We have some great superhero games such as Arkham Asylum and Arkham City but I always wished I had a fighting game where I could pitch in these superheroes and supervillians against each other. Well the wait is now over as NetherRealm studios have brought out in the market the very thing I wanted, a button mashing fighting game with our very own superheroes and great 3D graphics on Xbox360 and PS3.
Starting with the look and feel of the game, the graphics look great along with stunning 3D environments which can be used to punish your opponent in various innovative ways. At the end of the fight, the environment is left shattered and totally apocalyptic but isn’t it what we all wanted!

The roaster is a compelling one which includes Bane, Batman, Catwoman, Cyborg, Deathstroke, Flash, Harley Quinn, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Joker, Lex Luthor, Nightwing, Wonder Woman, Soloman Grundy and last but not the least Superman. These are all reputed names from DC Universe(though it is a Batman heavy roaster) and gives the User a special control over the character like If one chooses Batman, then he gets all the tricks and gadgets of Batman which can be used to devastate the opposition.
The game has a decent Single player Story mode and additional S.T.A.R. Labs missions which help the gamer take even more out from the game. The story though good feels boring for some stretches and can be described as OK but nothing is too great about it.
The main attraction of the game is the same which is for all fighting games, The Multiplayer Mode!
The multiplayer mode helps the gamer lay the smack down on his opponent and can be played online as well, which enhances the overall difficulty and introduces the gamer to new and different players and their playing style. The combos are hard to connect and requires considerable amount of practice but once done, gives a good feeling.
The pros of the game are:-
  • ·         Good Story
  • ·         New combat engine requiring Pro like skills
  • ·         Great looking Characters(especially Superman)
  • ·         Great Combos(especially Batman)
  • ·         Good roaster of DC characters

Some minor gripes:-
  • ·         Story feels a bit boring in the middle
  • ·         Although the roaster is good but is still missing some of the big names like Darksied, Blue Beetle etc.

Verdict :-

Having said that, this game is neither the best game out there nor it has set any sort of benchmark but overall it is a good fighting game and a must play for any comic book FAN or fighting game FAN.

XOLO X910 launched!

XOLO has launched X910 smartphone with a price tag of INR 9,999. It is a trimmed down version of X900. The key specifications are :-
  • ·         4.3 inch qHD capacitive display
  • ·         Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • ·         Dual Sim
  • ·         1 GB RAM
  • ·         4 GB internal storage
  • ·         microSD card slot
  • ·         Intel Atom Z2460 processor 1.6 GHz
  • ·         5MP rear camera and VGA front camera

It is yet another phone in that sub 10k range. The only thing I feel disappointed by is presence of ICS onboard. They should have at least given JellyBean.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance is not getting Android 4.1 update via KIES on PC and Mac.

This update will bring enhanced UI, better widgets, project butter and much more making this phone a compelling buy at around INR 14000.
Considering this update, Samsung Galaxy S Advance is a good mid-range device and should improve the user experience along with playing some high end games which used to hang previously.
Do let us know about your experience once you update it.

Another 5 incher(Economy Phablet) is launched in India, this time by Alcatel

Alcatel has launched a 5 inch economy phablet dubbed as “One Touch Scribe Easy” for INR 12,090. The phone features 5-inch WVGA display, 512 MB of RAM and 2.4GB of internal usable storage. The phone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor.

The specs are nothing to boast about and much better options are available form other manufacturers.
The only standout difference is that they have included some stylus supported apps which are pre-installed on the phone. How the phone performs could be a whole different story though which can only be judged when we get our hands on it.
